‣ Christian monk Richard Rohr at the Center for Action & Contemplation introduced me to Buddhism and nature-based spirituality more than 10 years ago.‣ I've meditated with the Buddhist community at Awake in the Wild and this year with One Earth Sangha. The Center for Spirituality in Naure is a like-minded Christian community.‣ I meditate daily with Zen master Henry Shukman. I highly recommend his meditation app, The Way, for beginners.‣ I'm a student of David Nichtern and the team at Dharma Moon, under the direction of The Dalai Lama & Tibet House US. I'm certified as a Dharma Moon teacher, and I'm pursuing advanced certification.‣ In 2026, I'll be a participant in the next cohort of Zen PeacemakersInstill Mindfulness is a secular resource based in Pulaski, VA, and I'm an active member of their online community. ‣ I've studied Qigong with Mimi Kuo-Deemer and Yoga Farm. I'm now studying Tai Chi with Dr. Paul Lam at the Tai Chi for Health Institute and with master Matthew Komelski at Star City Taiji in Roanoke.
